DESCRIPTION:Warsaw (Poland) | 25 – 28 August 2026\nDemocracy\, Social Action\, Solidarity and Sustainable Future \n\nThe 17th Conference of the European Sociological Association (ESA) will be held in Warsaw\, Poland\, from 25 to 28 August 2026. \nThe ESA Conference is one of the major international gatherings for sociologists in Europe\, bringing together researchers from across the continent and beyond to discuss current developments in sociological research and contemporary social challenges. \nThe 2026 conference will address key debates around democracy\, social action\, solidarity and sustainable futures\, providing a space to examine the profound social\, political and economic transformations affecting European societies. \nThe scientific programme will cover a broad range of sociological fields through ESA’s Research Networks\, Research Streams\, Joint Sessions\, Semi-Plenaries and plenary sessions. These spaces will promote dialogue across different areas of sociological research and encourage comparative and interdisciplinary perspectives. \nAmong its 38 Research Networks\, several are particularly relevant to research on work\, employment\, organisations\, inequalities\, social policy and economic sociology\, offering opportunities to discuss current transformations in labour markets and employment relations within broader processes of social change. \nThe conference will take place entirely on-site.
