SUMMARY:8th Regulating for Decent Work Conference
DESCRIPTION:International Labour Office\, Geneva |10–12 July 202\n  \nEnsuring decent work in times of uncertainty \n\nThe RDW conference in 2023 will explore the implications of today’s multiple and interlinked crises on the world of work. There have been growing calls for a just transition towards environmentally sustainable economies and societies for all\, which provides an opportunity to create decent jobs\, address prevailing inequalities\, strengthen social protection systems\, enhance inclusion\, and promote transition from a high- carbon economy. The conference will focus on what transformative policies and innovative institutions are required to tackle the labour and social consequences of the multiple crises in the world\, and to ensure a more equitable and just society. Papers are invited to present research results and to propose new ideas and policies with a focus on: (i) pro-employment macroeconomic policies in times of crisis and transition; (ii) trade and global value chains in times of crisis: implications for decent work; (iii) the role of institutions in ensuring decent work and universal social protection; and (iv) regulatory innovation in an era of crises. \nWeb

It is coordinated by an International Steering Committee. Each year the conference papers are organised around a central axis proposed to the participants of the meeting as a guide for submitting abstracts. After an interruption due to COVID-19 pandemic\, the theme of the 41st conference to be held in Paris is ‘Adjusting to a world of instability: workers\, firms and institutions’.

DESCRIPTION:Palma\, Mallorca | 24\, 25\, 26 de Octubre de 2023\n  \nCrisis globales ei mpactos locales: tendencias y respuestas público-comunitarias para una transición eco-social\n\nLa Universitat de les Illes Balears\, a través del Observatorio Social de las Islas Baleares (OSIB) y del Grupo de Investigación Desigualdades\, Género y Políticas Públicas (DGiPP)\, se enorgullece de organizar las IX Jornadas de la Red Española de Políticas Sociales (REPS). Además\, ¡la edición de este año es una oportunidad para celebrar la primera década del evento! \nLa conferencia es una oportunidad para que los asistentes reflexionen académica y profesionalmente sobre los retos de política social a medio y largo plazo\, así como sobre iniciativas y experiencias innovadoras dirigidas a afrontarlos y a garantizar la equidad y la justicia ecosocial. A la luz de este objetivo\, la conferencia se desarrollará de forma presencial y en línea\, y pretende reunir a distintas partes interesadas\, incluidos investigadores en ciencias sociales\, profesionales\, activistas de movimientos sociales y representantes del tercer sector. \nEn torno a este hilo conductor se organizarán veinte paneles temáticos\, divididos en presentaciones y debates plenarios. \nLas sesiones de trabajo se celebrarán en dos bloques separados por la mañana\, mientras que las tardes se dedicarán a conferencias plenarias y mesas redondas. \n
