Presentation of the results of a World Café designed to contribute to the development of a theoretical, analytical and empirical framework for studying the projectification of work across different sectors. Although this concept has gained increasing relevance in organizational studies, it still presents conceptual and empirical limitations that remain underexplored.
Drawing on the participation of professionals, researchers, and stakeholders with policy-making and associative responsibilities from fields such as the arts, the social economy, research, and consultancy, the study identifies key dimensions for analysing projectification, including employment relations, the division of labour, control mechanisms, the use of ICTs, impacts on health and work–life balance, and funding mechanisms.
The findings highlight both sector-specific differences and shared dynamics, providing a solid basis for advancing towards context-sensitive and empirically comparable approaches to the study of projectification.
