Abstract: The results of a study on the effectiveness of occupational training and workshop work programmes with inmates in prisons in Catalonia in terms of their labour and social reintegration at the end of their sentence show, among other interesting aspects, that training courses and workshop work in prisons contribute to reintegration, but for reasons that go beyond their content, and that ex-prisoners do not always use the skills they have acquired.
