Our doctoral thesis is located within the field of translation studies, and also incorporates conceptual elements of the sociology of work and business organisation. It deals with work content and its various components, in internal positions in translation companies. In relation to the conceptual part, the said content is focused on the organisational context of companies, within the situational context of real jobs. It is also focused on the context of the work processes developed in each translation company, the final aim of which is to produce a translation service.
