Temporariness and precariousness: the labour reform only improves the situation of some young people’s profiles

Abstract: Researchers at the Centre for Sociological Studies on Everyday Life and Work (QUIT) at the UAB have analysed the effects of the 2021 labour market reform on the situation of young workers. One year after its implementation, temporary employment, a variable associated with precariousness, continued to be concentrated in this population group, with an increase in permanent-discontinuous and part-time contracts among young people with less education.
