Ricardo Quintero Carrizosa

Ricardo has a degree in Sociology from the Universidad Pablo de Olavide (UPO, 2022). He has completed the Master in Gender and Equality at the Universidad Pablo de Olavide (UPO, 2023). He has been a collaborator in the project ‘Regional Gender Equality Measurement in the EU’ (ReGEM) number 21261-EPP-1-2020-1-IT-EPPJMO-PROJEC and in the project ‘Movilidad Social Intergeneracional: La Educación como mecanismo explicativo’ (DINAMOS2) code PID2019-106548GA-C22. In addition, he has obtained several grants and contracts of competitive concurrence among which the scholarship of the “Aula de verano Blas Cabrera de iniciación a la investigación, la docencia y la innovación científica” of the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP) and a contract as a junior research support belonging to the ‘V Own Plan of Reserach and Transfer’ of the UPO in the DINAMOS2 project of the Department of Sociology of the UPO stand out.

Likewise, her TFG “(In)equality of gender. A proposal for the classification of countries for the year 2021” has received an award from the Second Call for Awards for Undergraduate and Master’s Degree Final Projects on topics related to international cooperation and education for development funded by the Andalusian Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AACID). Currently, he is a PhD student and FPU beneficiary in the Department of Sociology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona under the direction of Dr. Pedro López Roldán.

Research interests

His main research interests are gender equality (cross-country analysis and measurement) and social mobility. Currently, his doctoral thesis line of work is focused on intergenerational social mobility comparing early and late industrialized countries.
