Oriol Barranco Font

Associate Professor

Oriol Barranco i Font holds a PhD in Sociology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris, France. He is a lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the UAB and a researcher at the Centre for Sociological Studies on Everyday Life and Work (QUIT) and the Institute for Labour Studies (IET). He has conducted research stays at the Centre Maurice Halbwachs (ENS, EHESS, CNRS – Paris, France), the Centre Nantais de Sociologie (University of Nantes, France), the Institute for Research on Labor and Employment (University of California, Berkeley), and the Centre for Research on Socio-Cultural Change (University of Manchester, United Kingdom).

He regularly teaches courses on qualitative and quantitative research methods, as well as on the sociology of work and industrial relations.
