This dissertation aims to study immigrants’ economic integration process into the Spanish labour market. In order to accomplish this goal, their occupational trajectories become the main theoretical and methodology tool. Labour market trajectories are defined from immigrant workers’ occupational mobility and wage convergence between them and locally-born workers. With this objective, a multiple theoretical approach is suggested, having into account premises from the assimilation theory, the labour market segmentation point of view, and the social production and reproduction paradigm.
