João Monteiro

Investigador predoctoral

João holds a MSc in Comparative Social Policy, awarded by the University Oxford (2021), and an Honours Degree in Political Science and International Relations, from NOVA University Lisbon (2020). As part of his degree, he visited Sciences Po under the Erasmus+ programme.

 

He is a predoctoral researcher in the project “MAINSOC – Managing the Inflation Crisis through Social Dialogue”. His interests in industrial relations, collective bargaining and social policy have led him to collaborate as a research assistant in other international projects: “BACK IN TOWN – The role of industrial relations and social dialogue in supporting young people’s employment and social inclusion at an urban level”, funded by the European Commission, and the Eurofound research report “The interaction of minimum wages and collective bargaining for low-paid groups”.

 

He has also worked in the public sector and public-private partnerships at an international level, including the NCD Alliance, the COVAX Facility at Gavi, and the Delegation of the European Union to the UN in Geneva.
