Héctor Escudero Castro

Predoctoral researcher

Héctor Escudero holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology (2022) and an MSc in Sociology: Social Transformations and Innovation (2024) from the University of Barcelona. He has also worked on the RURALCIT research project, “Being a Citizen in Rural Settings: Narratives, Emotions and Future Challenges”, within the Department of Sociology at the University of Barcelona.

He is currently a predoctoral researcher (FPI) on the TRANSVEC project, “New Production Model and Governance in the Transition to Electric and Connected Vehicles”.

research interests

His research interests focus on the sociology of work and public policy. More specifically, his research examines how productive reconfiguration and green policies influence the formation of coalitions and the emergence of new political actors that contribute to the transformation of economic and political structures. Furthermore, he studies changes in work routines, organisation, and labour conditions within the context of the eco-social transition
