Embracing and Resisting the Algorithm: Workers’ Strategies, Union Responses and Employers’ Reactions

Description: International workshop examining the impact of artificial intelligence and algorithmic management on work organisation, working conditions and industrial relations. The event combined research presentations on workplace AI, automation and platform work with discussion of the first comparative findings from the INCODING project.

QUIT contributions: Óscar Molina, Alejandro Godino and Sander Junte contributed to the presentation of comparative findings on algorithmic management in manufacturing companies and delivery platforms. Óscar Molina also served as a discussant in one of the sessions.

Organised by: INCODING – Democracy at Work through Transparent and Inclusive Algorithmic Management, coordinated by the Sociological Research Centre on Everyday Life and Work (QUIT), Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
