Emeritus Professor
PhD in Sociology from the Sorbonne University (Paris), with a thesis on “La conscience ouvrière des travailleurs espagnols immigrés en France”.
Emeritus Professor at the Complutense University of Madrid, he has been Professor of Sociology in the Faculty of Public Administration and Sociology at the same university and Deputy Director of the School of Labour Relations (Complutense University of Madrid) (1998-2003).
Director of the UCM Research Group “Employment, Gender and Social Cohesion Regimes” (EGECO). Director of the Complutense Institute of Sociology for the Study of Social Transformations (TRANSOC). Director of the journal Cuadernos de Relaciones Laborales since 2004.
He is a member of the management team of the International Research Group MAGE (“Marché du travail et Genre” of the CNRS (France), coordinated by M. Maruani, as well as of the Orientation Council of the journal Sociologie du travail.
