Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the results obtained in a research on intergenerational occupational mobility in Spain. We use the 2011 INE Living Conditions Survey, which allows us to obtain occupational information on parents and children. The comparison of employment between origin (parents) and destination (children) has traditionally been carried out using the male population and consequently making women invisible. The question that arises is how the usual conclusions of these studies change when we include the female population.
